The interesting about Taj Mahal :
The
Taj Mahal is a true love story brought to life as a building. During the Mughal
Empire, Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal for his lovely wife, Mumtaz Mahal, whose
real name was Arjumand Begum. She died after the birth of her fourteenth child.
This white domed building is a mausoleum
for Mumtaz Mahal. Her body was placed in the subordinate room
and later Shah Jahan was laid to
rest there. Taj Mahal means ''Crown Palace.''
To
make this beautiful building, twenty thousand workers were needed and
construction took over twenty-two years. The Taj Mahal has a reflecting pool
that mirrors the symmetry for which this building is famous. White marble was
used in the dome and throughout the building. The Taj is like a jewel in
moonlight. In the morning light the color of the Taj is pinkish. During the
evening the Taj Mahal is milky white and golden by moonlight. The colors
represent the many feelings this Mughal treasure brings to mind. It is a
lasting memory of a great love story.
